You've taken the first step...so let's get started! (Remember this is all FREE!)
If you’ve exercised before, you know how good you feel after the workout.
Well, you may be surprised to learn that exercise isn’t just good for your heart and your physical appearance… Exercise is CRITICAL to your brain health.
In fact, exercise is one of the BEST tricks for memory improvement.
Why? Because physical activity naturally re-grows new brain cells.
During these next 5 days, we will be doing exactly that--together!
It doesn’t matter how old you are or what level of health you’re at now. Even if you’ve been inactive for most of your life, starting an exercise routine at any age is NOT futile.
Most incredibly, there are NO medications we know of that can re-grow brain cells like our bodies are naturally wired to do.
One of the most remarkable developments in health science is the revelation that the mind and the body are much more closely linked.
A healthy body likely means a healthy mind, and seniors that exercise on a regular basis have improved cognitive health, according to research from NCBI.
More recently, a study from the Alzheimer’s Research & Prevention Foundation, regular exercise has been shown to reduce your risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease or dementia by nearly 50%.

What You Can Expect
This Challenge will consist of 5 days of moving your body--this upcoming Monday through Friday
After you sign up, you will receive an email with more detailed instructions. This email will consist of:
- A schedule that outlines what activity you will be doing over the course of the 5 days
- A list of what you will need (all free materials)
- A document to print out (and put on your fridge, mirror, or wherever you will see it) and track your progress
We are going to be giving you daily activities to do. These are recommended activities you can do anywhere, anytime. You are absolutely allowed to veer off this path and do any activity you enjoy doing. Please share it with us! :)
If you already have an exercise routine we still encourage you to participate in this 5 day challenge, and track the progress on your printable document and in the Facebook group.
And don’t forget that household activities — intense mopping, raking leaves, vacuuming, running up and down the stairs count, too — even trick-or-treating;)

Simple Smart Science's 5-Day Active Brain Health Challenge
What: 5 days of moving your body and regenerating your brain cells!
When: this upcoming Monday through Friday
Why: Moving approximately 90-120 minutes a week can increase the size of the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex, both of which are susceptible to neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.
How: You can expect daily check-ins and detailed instructions from us via email and in our Private Facebook Group We will also provide informational content, encouragement, and accountability.
