It happens every year around the holiday season, and while I just love all the celebrations, family time, and gatherings that it brings – I think we can all agree that it also tends to bring a little stress along with it as well!
Stress is unfortunately very prevalent in a lot of our lives today.
Sometimes, stress is appropriate and not all stress is bad.
Stress creates a physical response in the body that tells us that something is wrong, and it is a form of protection.
However, TOO much stress can have a big negative impact on our overall health-including our brain health!
Stress is a physical feeling we experience from an emotional, mental, or physical response. Cortisol, our stress hormone, is released, and it brings our bodies into a state of “fight or flight”, as a protective response to keep ourselves safe from “attackers”.
Stress can be caused by 3 key factors: There is emotional and mental stress, physical stress, and environmental stress.
And throughout this challenge, we will be exploring how to recognize stress, and simple things you can add to your daily and weekly routines to combat this!

What You Can Expect
This Challenge will consist of 5-days of stress reducing challenges-everyday this upcoming Monday through Friday
After you sign up, you will receive an email with more detailed instructions along with a printable document to keep track of your progress each week.
During the week of the challenge, we are going to be sending you daily activities and tips via email each day of the challenge. These emails will consist of calming habits to practice during that day that can be carried out in weeks going forward.
These challenges will differ each day. Each morning, we encourage you to check your email, track the progress on your printable document, and share your experience that day in the Facebook group.
Our hope is that you can integrate some of these stress-reducing challenges and habits into your daily life going forward to improve your brain, memory, and life! :)
We are all each other's accountability partner, so while you work to relax your mind you can also get to know each other!
Simple Smart Science's 5-Days to a stress-free memory Challenge
What: We will be teaching you about the science behind stress, how it impacts the brain, and simple things you can add to your daily and weekly routines.
When: This upcoming Monday through Friday
Why: To not only keep your stress levels at bay, but also prevent them from spiking not only in this upcoming holiday season, but in all seasons to come.
How: You can expect daily check-ins and detailed instructions from us via email and in our Private Facebook Group. We will also provide informational content, encouragement, and accountability.
What You Get: You will be receiving daily emails, a printable document to track your daily activities, a list of what you will need (all free), and education on the "why" of it all. This will be sent to you via email!
